Each year, UTAC conducts an immersive, internationally-recognized drone, robotics, and uncrewed systems training event that enables human-machine teams to level up their operational capabilities. UTAC 2025 is designed to expose UAS and drone pilots, robotics operators, and technology tacticians to innovative UAS, robotics, and augmenting technologies, along with new software and tactical gear. UTAC 2025’s Defense Exercise brings together best-in-class U.S./NATO technology and tactical equipment exhibitors and provides defense attendees an opportunity to learn about and test their various technologies in a fully immersive environment:
FPV
SBS
SRR
MRR
LRR
Mesh networks
UGV
USV
Blue-force tracking (TAK)
Human-machine teaming
With an emphasis on unique, hyper-realistic defense drone training, including military FPV training, special forces drone operation TTPs, counter-UAS operations, drone kinetic payload training, and TAK operations, UTAC 2025’s Defense Exercise is the world’s premier uncrewed systems training event.
UTAC 2025
The first three days of UTAC 2025 bring defense operators alongside local, state, and federal agencies to participate in immersive training scenarios with opportunities to collaborate and establish best practices. Defense Exercise attendees can engage with other drone and robotics operators, decisionmakers, and manufacturers in public safety and government organizations in order to network, share lessons learned, and receive hands-on exposure to technologies and tactical capabilities while observing how other organizations deploy their teams and equipment.
Failure is a critical component of any effective training regimen. UTAC is where you can come to overcome obstacles in a real-world environment, observe new technology, validate its strengths and weaknesses, and walk away with valuable lessons learned as you continue to develop a deeper, more modern understanding of tactics and capabilities. When UTAC 2025 is over, attendees will utilize their experience to enhance internal TTPs and uncrewed systems deployment and program implementation.
The UTAC 2025 Defense Exercise is an exclusive training opportunity solely dedicated to U.S. and NATO forces, and will be supported by invited exhibitors. During this defense-focused training exercise, attendees will practice specific skill sets, participate in both daytime and nighttime operations, and receive many unique networking opportunities with defense vendors, other units, instructors, and SMEs.

“As an Australian, UTAC was a conference like no other. The hands-on aspect separates it from other conferences and provides the end user with an experience that is not available anywhere else in the world. The scenarios, instructors, and SMEs were outstanding and the conference location second to none. The information, guidance and experience I received as an attendee was a game changer for me and my organisation. Thank you UTAC. See you next year!”

“[The Interior Flight Station] was great. Not only was the instructor very knowledgeable about the Avatas but he always was very helpful on the manual FPV. He even let me fly one of his. I think that in itself is dedication, because I have never flown a manual FPV and to let this stranger fly his own for the first time is truly a great instructor.”

"The biggest differentiator of UTAC is that first responders who are using Spot share their experiences with the robot in real-life public safety scenarios. When attendees get hands-on stick time with Spot, they build confidence with the technology and more directly comprehend the value of a quadruped robot in the field."
